This leaves football as the only fall sport to sell the ACC Network.

If soccer is taken out of the picture, it leaves women's volleyball, which the ACC isn't very good at, and field hockey, which has only 1/3 or so of league participation. So football will have to carry the channel in the fall.

In the winter we'll have basketball with plenty of men's and women's games.

In the spring there are many things to choose from: baseball, softball, lacrosse, tennis, golf, etc. Tennis and golf won't rival professional either, but they are competitive and entertaining.

I was looking for a role for soccer. It will just get the diehard ACC fans caring about it.
